SEVEN

My Handsome little Daxy
 turned 7 Years Old

The M-16

Opening Presents
He got Night Vision Goggles and High School Musical 3 Karoke

Kisses from Baby Sister (so cute!)

He also got a guitar. Which he Really wanted. He Loved it!
(Here he is showing me his rocker face)
He even put on a concert for us
Aty joined right in with him
He had a birthday party planned for the Saturday before, but he got sick with Strep, so we rescheduled his party Tuesday after his Birthday. (party pictures on post below)
So on Monday, for his birthday, we just hung out, had pizza and cake, and he played his guitar for us. Tregan was loving all of his presents as well. I kept having to remind him that it was Daxton's birthday, not his. (haha)

Since we had to postpone the party, I made him a  mini version of his Tank Cake

I can't believe my little Daxy is Seven!  I can still remember so clearly the day he was born. Coming back to my room, and Jayson telling me that he was in the NICU on oxygen, later finding out that he had group B Strep. He spent 7 days there. It was so hard to leave the hospital without him. I went there a few times a day to feed him and hold him. A few years later, we found out that he had infantile scoliosis.
So for about three years, he had to have regular checkups and x-rays, he also had a crooked jaw, which we had checked alot as well. So here he is now, it has been about 5 years since all that, and he is completely fine. Grew out of all of it. And he is healthy and So Handsome, if I say so myself.
So here are 7 of my Favorite things about Daxton
7. When he finds something he loves he becomes completely obsessed with it! (until he finds something else)
it started with Elmo, then Nemo, Cinderella, ( he will hate this, it was when he was only like 2)
then Indiana Jones, Batman,... and most recently.. being a Marine.

6. His dance moves!

5. His cute smile
4. The way that Everyone wants to be his friend
3.His silly stories! (that take forever for him to tell. haha)

2.The way he  loves his baby sister
1. What a good little boy he is

I could go on and on....
I am so glad that seven years ago, I decided that Tregy needed a little brother. I can't imagine it any other way now. I love that they are such good buddys!

I just wish he would stop growing!

Happy Birthday Daxy! We Love you so much!!

Marines In Training

Meet the Drill Instructor
So we decided to have a Marine party. Since Daxton is OBSESSED with wearing camoflauge and pretending to be a Marine.
The recruits had to be properly trained on a few items, like how to salute, and how to say " Sir,Yes, Sir"

Aty even had her face painted
They were all given a camo bandana for their heads, and of course, had to have their faces painted before they could start their training.
The Obstacle Course

The Mine Field
Be Careful not to step on a mine/egg

Grenade Fight (water balloons)

The Handsome Soldiers

Present Time

C
Cake Time

They all made it through Training and earned their dog tags, and rifles/marshmallow shooters

The night before the party, (Daxton's real b-day) This is what we were doing. Putting together eleven marshmallow shooter guns.
Tregan being a real trooper

Our awesome daddy, who put together, and painted everyone of these,( with the help of Tregan on a couple of course).
Aty trying out the gun
This is the beginning

Before paint
After paint

And here are the Awesome guns!
So proud of Jayson for making these. they were so cool, and the boys Loved them!

And here is the invite we took around to Daxy's friends.

They all had so much fun. I am glad we decided to do a party. We were not planning on doing one, but then I was looking for ideas online for a cake and I ran across a military cake, and then my imagination took hold, and I couldn't resist. I knew Daxton would love this kind of party, so we had to do it! We ended up doing Way more then planned. And it was a ton of work. We planned and prepared for a week, and then Dax and I, got Strep throat, so we had to cancel. Such a bummer! But, we rescheduled, and all was good. Jayson was a Tremendous help, I think he was kinda loving it too. I guess it brought out the marine side in him.
So now I can say, Mission Accomplished, Party was a Success!
I think that will be the last big party Daxy will be having though. And now, rest? NOPE! I get to have Aty's B-day. I am just doing a cake though. (haha, ya Just a cake) That is the most work. Why do I torture myself?  Because, I love it!

The Fair

We took the kids to the Fair a few weeks ago, and I forgot my camera. So I took pictures with my phone. I kept forgetting to get them off and put them on here, so better late then never.

Here they are...

The boys riding the bull

They Loved It!

My phone doesn't take real great pictures, so I didn't get very good ones of Tregan.

I Love this Picture!
( It reminds me of that last scene on Grease, when they are putting their heads in that sign at the school fair. Guess you would have to be a big Grease fan like me, to know what I am talking about.)

The Rides!
(I have always been afraid to go on any rides at the fair, Because they don't seem very safe. So I turn to Jayson when the boys are on them, and I tell him this, and he says. "me too" Um so why are we letting our kids ride them?

Petting the goats and pigs
Aty was a little nervous at first, and then she warmed right up to the goats, she even kissed one!

So, like I said before, I had some pictures on my phone, and when I finally downloaded them, I found a whole bunch that narrate our summer. So I put them on here as well, because I Never get around to developing any of my pictures, I have to put my favs on here. Otherwise I will never see them.

This is Aty's turtle tube. Which she Never will ride in the water. At least I got a picture of her on it! :)

The Tim Mcgraw and Lady Antebellum Concert. (July)
I went with my sister, sister inlaw, and my five cute nieces.
I don't think I put a post on here about it. Because I forgot that I had this picture on my phone.
But, we had So Much Fun! I am a HUGE Tim Mcgraw fan. I mean HUGE! lol! No really, he is so HOT! I have seen him in concert four times now. The other three times, he was with Faith Hill. I have to say, this one was the Best! I don't know if it was because he sang alot more of his songs, or if it was because it was outside, so we could rock more. hahah! Or if it was because I was trying really hard, to embarass my neices so I was having a blast, screaming and dancing! Uh, I think it was all the above! ( my niece Kinley, told me she was never going to a concert with me again. haha)

(July)
The kids and I met up with my good friend Megan and her kids, and went to the Aquarium in Sandy. I forgot my camera again..
The kids had a blast. This is a picture of Treg, Dax, and their friend Scottie, feeding the stingrays

This is Aty when she started getting into wearing my shoes. She is her favorite thing to do now!

A portrayal of how much Aty Loves her binkis. (still working on that one)

Aty in the car on many of our Summer ventures. Sometimes, when she is fussy and tired, Tregan or Dax, depending on who is behind her, will hold her hand and she calms right down. So Sweet!

Daxton all decked out in his Marine gear. This was one day when we were in Smith and Edwards.

Some Scout pictures
Tregan when he got a ton of his badges, forgot my camera...
and Aty waiting for him at his swimming day for scouts. I can't believe how little she looks.
Sorry for the many random pictures, pure scrabooking memories....
