FIRST

Aty has made some New Accomplishments, this last week. As well as some "Firsts."
She got her FIRST haircut!
 The Before picture

Being goofy for the camera!
She sat so stil,l the entire time. She just looked at herself in the mirror and watched what was going on. I was worried that she was going to be scared, and not want to sit in the chair. I had to wake her up from her nap to take her to the appointment. She woke up way, grouchy. And so I talked Tregan into coming with us to help make her happy, and to entertain her, while I got my hair cut.

TA DA! All Done!
She only got a little bit cut off the bottom, I wasn't ready to cut it all off yet.
But it does look a lot thicker, now.

All curled and looking cute!

And, for New Accomplishments....

She learned to pedal her bike. YAY!
Now she runs outside and jumps on her trike, and takes off down the sidewalk
.
She has also been riding our neighbors three wheeeled scooter, which she also loves. The other day, I caught her trying to ride Tregan's two wheeled scooter. She tried a couple of times, and then just took off. It was so funny to watch. She would ride it down our driveway, and then drop it at the bottom of the hill, and jump away, to the side.

We are back to Potty Training, Again!

She is a Potty Princess!
She is doing really well. We got a "potty" movie at the library the other day. She begs to watch it over and over. So she has been really excited, to go pee pee in the potty. We have a little song we sing, and she dances.

Her Princess Panties

She is always showing off her bum.
That's what Aty has been up to.

Here is what Tregan has been doing....

Hanging out, working on his bubble blowing!
He was hanging outside with Aty and I the other day. And he started blowing bubbles, and kept telling me to take a picture. Such a silly boy!

We ended our Weekend with a Neighborhood Carnival. Our primary put it together. I was in charge of a candy bar walk. The kids had alot of fun, They even got their faces painted.
Elmo

Pouty Girl

Cookie Monster and The UTES
And now, on to our adventures for this week.
(And more Potty Training.)

Roughing It!

We decided to go on a Camping Trip this last Weekend
We knew it was going to be a busy weekend with the holiday and all. So we went up Ogden canyon and found a spot on Thursday night. We put up our tent and reserved our spot, to return the next night after Jayson got off work. Friday turned out to be a busy, crazy day. Our brakes needed replacing in a Bad way. So we decided we needed to take care of that before we headed out of town. I took the car in that morning after dropping Jayson off to ride Trax to work. Well, 7 hours later, I called the car place and they were not done yet! AHHH! I had a ton do get ready, a trip to the store, a tired, grumpy two year old, and a husband to pick up at the train station. So.. We waited... and when the car got done, my sweet friend Misty gave us a ride to pick it up, and we headed off to Walmart. Which took forever, because apparently we were not the only ones headed up camping that night. The store was Packed and it was So Not Fun chasing Aty around. The boys had this bright idea to get an icecream at Mcdonalds in Walmart to eat as we shopped. I have to admit, I thought it might be a good idea as well. Keep Aty occupied in the cart, eating her ice cream while I shop quickly! Well the joke was on me. Because she only lasted about 10 minutes. And the ice cream ended up mostly on the floor and her, as well as her blue drink. Clean up on Aisle 9! hahah! So frustrating! Meanwhile, Jayson had gotten to the train dropoff and his cell had died, so he couldn't let me know he was coming, so he ended up walking home in the nice hot sun. Anyway, we all got home eventually and loaded up the car, with a couple more stops for gas, ice, etc.. We Finally made it up to our campground around 8:30. So we had smores and hung out by the fire, then went to bed. And BRRRR! was it a cold night!
After we got the tent put up, Aty went inside and got a huge smile on her face and said "Buzz, Woody's house" So that became the name of the tent.

Daddy showing the boys how a real man builds a fire! Who even uses the stick rubbing method anymore? When you have lighter fluid and some sticks, that is all you need!

I kept teasing him that he sure had a funny way of building fires for a Marine. Then he reminded me that Marines don't build fires, that would give them away to the enemy. "Oh Ya" haha!
Everytime he would pull out the lighter fluid I would dive for Aty and warn the boys to get back. I didn't feel too safe. He just laughed at me.

Dax found a gun (made out of wood of course)
On Saturday after breakfast, the boys kept asking me what they could do. They were So bored! Wow, I guess they have Way too much electronic time at home. They have forgotten how to be kids and use their imagination. I challenged them to find as many sticks as they could and I would pay them 25cents for every 10. Dax was all over that game. Tregan however, was not.   We ended up heading home for a little while to grab Jayson some allergy medicine. The cotton was really bad up there. And he and Tregan were having bad allergies. On the way home, our dumb car, that had just had new brakes put on, was making a horrible sound. We didn't know if we should drive back up. But all of our stuff was still there. So after talking to a neighbor that knows a little about cars, we decided it was nothing to major, so we headed back up. This time with Tregan's BB gun and Jayson's pellet gun.

Now he Happy!

While the boys shot their guns, Aty got a hold of the camera and kept going around to everyone saying "Cheese" and taking a million pictures. Daxton liked that  alot, he was a little poser

She learned a few silly picture poses herself

Being Silly!

Of course we had to bring along Woody! What would camping be without him?

She is always giving him rides on her shoulders. I think she learned this watching Toy Story 3.

Hanging out! She was actually really good pretty much the whole time. She just played in the dirt and the water spicket by our campground. She got soaked! I had to change her clothes like three times.

We took them on a nature walk and found a cool spot for Pictures

Showing off their muscles

Giving a lesson on Snake Grass

Oh well, this was her One Tantrum. We made her stop playing in the water to take pictures with us And she was Not Happy!

She has to take her pink purse along on our walk
We threw rocks in the river, and Aty played in the mud. Gotta love camping and dirty kids.

Dax won the stick collecting prize! He earned over $6.00 I told Jayson he should pay me $20 for every bunch I collected, and I got a ton. But he wasn't buying in on that one.

After we had dinner and smores on Saturday night, we decided rather then brave the cold again for another night, we would head home and sleep in our nice warm beds. Apparently we are not the campers we thought we were. Especially my Marine husband. I think he complained the most out of all of us. I guess all those years sleeping in the dirt during his training and stuff ruined his love for camping. We decided that the next big camping trip we take will be when we have bought a trailer.

Sunday we had to make a second trip up to pick up our tent and other stuff, because our car is too small to fit it all in. Then we just cleaned up and hung out on Sunday night. The boys talked us into lighting some of our fireworks that night. Aty loved the smoke bombs, she liked all the colors. But once we started lighting the other ones, she did not like that. She would run as fast as she could and hide behind her little car on the grass and watch through the opening.

So cute!

The smoke bombs

The Fourth of July we spent at home this year. We went to the Kaysville parade that morning with our neighbor Dana and her family. Then we just hung out at home during the day. I took the boys to the carnival while Aty was sleeping. And they did some boxing and rode the bull. And won some frogs. So now we have two little frog pets, at our house. That night we  cooked steaks and (chicken for me) for dinner. Then we went over to our other neighbors The Gunnells house, and has smores and did fireworks. Then ran to the Layton fireworks at 10. It was a low key day, not like our usual 4th of July's in the past. It was kinda nice, but I have to admit, Jayson and I were kinda feeling sad and missing our usual 4th of July's we have spent in all the past years with his family and our good friends up in Logan. It was nice here, but it is just not the same. It is hard to do new things when you do the same things year after year. It just doesn' t feel right.

This was the only picture I took on the 4th. I was bad about taking my camera. So Aty posed for me with her cute piggy tails. Funny girl!

It turned out to be a pretty fun, busy Weekend. And it was nice having  Jayson home, for that long!
