A MUCH NEEDED Break!

This last Weekend was our 12th Anniversary. I convinced Jayson to take me away for the night. We kept going back and forth about whether or not we should go somewhere. We haven't gone anywhere for our Anniversary for three years. And with Jayson not working much and money being tight right now, we just didn't know if it was a good idea. We SO Wanted to get away. A break from my Screaming Two year old, was Much Needed. So.. We decided two days before, that we were just going to go for it. We really needed some time alone, and like I said, My Sweet little girl, has become a Screaming nightmare since the binki fairy came.
 So.. Grandma, and my neice Shyanne, headed down to our house Friday afternoon to watch the kids. We decided that morning, that maybe we should take the kids to our hotel and let them swim, since we haven't stayed at a hotel with them for over a year. The boys got out early that day, so as soon as they got home, I told them to put on their swimsuits and we left. They had lots of fun swimming! Then, we headed home, dropped them off, and left for our Sweet,Quiet, Bliss!! We went to dinner at PF Changs. And it was Delicious!! Then we got to go to bed early, with No Screaming baby girls. YAY!! It was so nice, I was so excited about the quiet, I couldn't help but squeal. The next morning, we woke up, (no crying babies), and went to breakfast. Then we went to the mall and walked around. On the way back, we decided to drive up to the Bountiful Temple. Which is the temple we were married in. We have not been back there in many years. Since we have lived in Arizona. I am so happy to be living close by to it again. It is such a beautiful Temple. Their was a couple that had just been married, getting their pictures taken. We got talking about how that was us 12 years ago. All the things that happened that day, and how stressful, but happy, it was. I am so glad that we found each other, and that we could be married in the temple. I am so grateful for our three beautiful children. It is funny to look back 12 years ago, and think about where we were then, compared to now. I can't imagine our life without our kids now. We are so different now, then we were then. And yet, our Love continues to grow!

 It was really cloudy and the sky was really blue, so it made Moroni ,look so sparkly and he stood out, in the sky. You cannot tell in the picture at all, which is a real bummer, Because it really was So beautiful!

Such a great Weekend! And to make it even better, Aty did not scream that night, before bed. Hooray!! Guess she didn't want to ruin my awesome day.

Binki Fairy

The Binki Fairy came to visit, last week. 

I posted about the whole binki thing, a few months ago. Buzz had taken them back to his house.   And she was still allowed to have it at naps and bedtime. She did really well for about a week or so, and then she got really sick, and that is all she wanted. So how could I be a mean mom, and not let her have her comfort when she was feeling sick? Well, long story short, time flew by, and she became Really Attached to it again! I was so sick of it. But I was Dreading, taking it away. She cried for it, whenever she was sad, or tired. It was her only comfort. So the other day we took her in for her first Real visit, to the dentist. Which just so happens, to be my cousin. Anyway, he checked out her teeth, and then he turned to me and said that her bite was did not meet together because of the binki. CRAP! I knew it could affect her teeth, but I hadn't realized that it had already started to do the damage. So.. I came home and told Jayson the news. And we decided we had to get the binki away once and for all. I knew it was going to involve a lot of screaming and no sleep! 

On Tuesday morning, she woke up happy, and I decided to give it a try. I asked her if she wanted to give her binkis to the binki fairy to take to all the fairy babies.  She said "uh huh" so we went in her room and found this purse to put them in. She was all happy and excited about it. She did sneak a few sucks on the binki while we were getting dressed and ready to go outside. So we went out to the porch and she decided that she didn't want to leave the purse. We were on our way to go on a walk with my neighbor friends. She took the purse and put it in the stroller. I snuck it and put it on the porch. The whole time we were on our walk, she kept asking for them. I would tell her that the fairy had them. She would whine and say "no." When we got back from our walk, I was nervous to see what she would do when she saw they were really gone. She ran up the porch to her purse, and sure enough, when she looked inside and saw they were gone. She fell on her tummy and started crying. She got over it pretty quick, and started playing outside. The rest of the day went pretty good. She didn't have a nap though. And by 9:00 that night, she was exhausted and really wanted that binki. So as I expected, she Screamed! And she threw things, and she Screamed some more. She even knocked over my long mirror I had in my room, and broke it. OOPS!  By this point, I was starting to loose my patience. It was so hard to just let her scream, and know that she had to just get tired. About an hour and a half later, she fell alseep in my arms crying herself to sleep. She slept the whole rest of the night! The next couple of days went pretty good. Not much mention of her binki. Unless she was tired. So we are now on day 7. She is doing pretty good, she still cries when she is tired, she doesn't ask for it, she just cries.

I took her to the store a few days before the fairy came, and let her pick out some fabric to make her a blanket. She chose a purple princess one. She was way excited, when she got it. The day I was trying to tie it, she kept stealing it from me, so I couldn't finish it. Now that her binki is gone though, she does Not Want that blankie! Little Stinker!

She just holds her blankie when she is Not tired. I have tried a few different things with her, trying to replace her binki.   Hoping she will cling to something else, to help her calm down. But so far, she does not want anything.  Hopefully, in the next few days, she will start to like her blankie more.
I am just happy that I can see her cute little mouth, all the time now. And, just as I thought, she has started talking like crazy! She talked before, but now she just jabbers to me, all day long.



This is the last picture I took of her with her binki. ( naked and sitting in her dolly stroller)  She is on her way to being such a big girl. Now it is back to potty training. Wish us luck!

Dyeing the Eggs

 The Beginning of our Easter Festivities, we colored eggs. Which Aty Loved! A little too much actually. She kept wanting to do More and More, and she was making me crazy, grabbing the color and almost spilling it all over. We survived though, with not too much, coloring on the counter. After that,  we headed over to the church to have a neighborhood night time, egg hunt. The kids thought that was really fun, trying to find eggs in the dark with their flashlights. Aty especially like running around with her little friend Avery, shining her flashlight.

This year the Bunny left a candy trail for each one of them to follow, that lead to their basket and treasures. He really tricked the boys. He hid their baskets under their beds, which was where the candy path started, not ended. Haha!

After Church we went over to my Sister's house in Kaysville for dinner. Grandma and Grandpa came. They brought easter eggs for the kids to find.

After three Easter eggs hunts, Aty was a pro!

Daxton and Tregan forgot their jackets, so they borrowed my nephew's Zacks. Daxton really liked this jacket, that is why he is posing all suave! He has been begging me to get him a jacket like it, for days now.

It turned out to be a fun Easter day. My boys were starting to question the Easter bunny and how he could possibly walk on two feet. I am not sure if they were convinced or not. I am sad for those days to be over.  I am holding on to them for as long as I can.  Sacrament was a little chaotic with trying to keep Aty entertained and keep the boys from fighting each other. Oh the Joys!! But I did feel the spirit, and I was grateful for our savior and his resurrection. We had a lesson the night before, that I had actually prepared for my sunbeam class. I filled 12 Easter Eggs full of different things representing the death and resurrection of Jesus. They had to taste vinegar, which they did not want to do! It was very neat to hear so many lessons, and talk about Jesus and his resurrection, since I am in the primary. My boys both came home talking about it again. It is nice to have them be old enough now, to talk about and understand it now. And for them to grasp what a huge sacrifice this was for him. I am so grateful for our savior! And for my Sweet children and husband!

Fast Cars and Little Bunnies

I am a little behind on blogging lately, so I am catching up.

 Tregan had his Pinewood Derby a couple of weeks ago. This year, he decided he wanted to make a Hummer. So he and Jayson spent a few hours making this Awesome creation.  Jayson warned him that it wasn't going to be very fast because of the extra weight they had to add on top. He had a super fast car last year. And the ward we were in, didn't keep track of who won or anything. So Tregan was ok with this car being slow this year, thinking that the rules would be the same in this ward. And well... They were not! They totally kept score. And well.. the hummer was a little slow. Not the slowest car there, but slow. So Tregan was feeling a little dissapointed at the end. But, it is always a good lesson to learn, that you can't always win right? And everyone there, thought his looked really cool, so that is something!

 We searched every stinkin dollar store in town trying to find the perfect gun for the top of it. Jayson ended up taking the boys to Toys R Us late one school night,( which made mommy not too happy) to find this one. But all three boys were so excited to get it all done. And add the finishing touch! Daxton can't wait to be in scouts now, so he can make his first derby car.


Up in Cache Valley, at the American West Heritage Center.  They have Baby Animal Days, every year. We have not taken our kids since Tregan was about Aty's age. So I really wanted to go this year, knowing Aty would love it! Well, the weekend they had it planned, it snowed and was crappy. So we decided not to go. Then they rescheduled it the next weekend, and Aty and I were up there with my neighbor and her little girl at the princess day. But the girls were too tired to go after the princess thing. So, sadly, we missed it again. Well, you can imagine my excitement when I found out they were having it again Easter weekend. So.. The boys got out early on Friday afternoon, and the weather was sunny. So we headed up there and met Jayson's sisters and his niece there. Aty LOVED it!  And so did the boys. I thought maybe they would be getting too old, but I guess not.

We wanted to take this cute squishy bunny home So Bad! Daxton even said he would give us all of his money to pay for it. But Jayson said " No Way!"  We were all so sad.

Balloon Animals!

The boys got sword with holsters. How cool is that? Daxton was in heaven! They were a little concerned that they might have to wears the holsters for a few days until they went flat. But no worries! They were able to slip them over their heads. They couldn't wait to get show their friends, when we got home. They were a little dissapointed the next morning when they saw they had started to go flat. Bummer!

We had so much fun! Aty has been talking about it for an entire week. Seriously, she brings it up every single day. Usually more then once a day. She says, " Choo Choo, I want Choo Choo, and then "Bunnies, I want to hold Bunnies, and then she says "horsey's, I want horsey's. In that exact order. She gets so sad, because she just wants to do it again!

She didn't get a nap before we headed up, so she fell right to sleep on the way home. I looked back at her and saw this cute little mustache. She has slobbered so much, her hair stuck to her face. So funny!
