When I 'm Not Watching

THIS is what happens...

Aty Loves to color. She Has to use markers though, no Crayons for her. And, well at times, we catch her trying to color on the table, the walls, and her arms, sometimes even her clothes. But then the other day, she was coloring with Daxton, and they came upstairs to show me what they had done. Both of their faces were colored, All Over! As you probably guessed, Daxton was behind that little joke. He got a lecture about how he was being a bad example, and then I quickly washed their faces, forgetting to get a picture first. But then the other night, I was making dinner and trying to help the boys with their homework. Aty went upstairs, I heard some noise, but I thought Jayson was upstairs with her, so I didn't go see what she was doing. WELL.. A few minutes later, she appeared at the top of the stairs, so excited to show me what she had done. Hence the picture above. SO NICE!! I have to say though, she drew some pretty cute eyelashes.

Off To Buzz's House?

`
Aty has become OBSESSED with Toy Story lately. She Begs to watch "Buzz" all day long. Some days she watches it over and over. (the days that I am busy and being a bad mom, or just get sick of her crying to watch it)
So the other day, ( it was a Saturday) I woke up to her in my face with her binki. I looked at her and decided "ok, today is the day to get rid of that thing!" So I said, "Aty do you want to give your binki to Buzz?" She thought for a minute and then said "uh huh" So we found the boys old buzz toy, and she put it in his helmet. She thought it was So funny! So we rounded up all her the rest of her binki's and gave them to Buzz.

She even tried sharing one with her baby. I told her that she had to be a big girl now, and only her babies could use her binki's now.

So during breakfast, we would look over at her and see her secretly trying to sneak it in her mouth, then stop herself, and give it to her baby. She was trying SO HARD to be a big girl.

The boys were home, so I got them in on it as well. All day long, we kept reminding her what a Big Girl she was now! She kept asking to see Buzz, to check on her binki's. After a while, Jayson took Buzz and hid him. She kept mentioning Buzz and her binki's. We would tell her that Buzz had to take them to his house, so she could be a big girl. And he would be back tommorow. By nap time, she was saying, "BUZZ HOUSE!"  I finally tried taking her for a ride to try and get her to fall asleep. After driving around for a while, it was apparent that she was not going to fall asleep. The second I brought her back in the house. She started crying, saying "BUZZ HOUSE!"  It took a while to calm her down. She Did Not take a nap that day. And it took all of us to keep her distracted enough to not think about it all day. By 10:00 that night, she was completely exhausted, and she had enough of this game. She freaked out! I could Not get her to calm down. SO.. We decided to just let her have it at night and naptimes. Well, it's a good start right?  She has been pretty good about handing over her binki after naps and in the mornings. And, she has been alot easier to get to sleep now too. She knows if she gets her binki, she HAS to go to sleep.

So, Buzz was not so successful at his mission afterall. But it will happen soon enough!

On Another Note..
The boys took Aty out to play in the snow for the first time this winter. Since we haven't had too much snow so far. And well, now the snow it all gone. Which makes me feel like it should be Spring. And I hate being teased like that!

She had so much fun! They were so cute with her. They were So excited that she got to come out with them.

We have somewhat of an incline in our front yard. Which to them is a hill. lol! So this is where they chose to sled. And as you can see, if they go too fast, well.. They will end up in the road. So not the safest place to sled.

Aty was so puffy with all her snow clothes on, she looked funny. when they would get to the bottom of the hill, she would have to roll sideways to get out and then push herself up to her feet. The boys were always laughing too hard to help her.

They even took her for rides all around the house.

Dax got in on the action as well.
They had so much fun. They are such Cute Brother's to her, I love that they take such good care of their baby sister!

Your Word Is...

                               F.U.R.I.O.U.S
Tregan got to be in his very First Spelling Bee.  I couldn't believe he actually tried out. I guess at his school, they don't make everyone in the class do it. You have to volunteer to try out. And he did, and he won in his class. So, on to the school level one. He competed against 3-6th graders. His first word was Furious. And he got it right. I was so Proud! It was down to about 10 or so kids. The first round really got alot of them out. And it was his second turn. The word was Laser, he spelled it with a Z. It thought he had it right.  I didn't remember it had a S. lol! So I guess we both lost!  Oh Well, I am still so very PROUD of him for overcoming his shyness and doing it. He has always been such a good speller. I have told him several times how when I was his age, and we would do the spelling bee at my school, it would be down to the final two or so, and I would purposely spell the word wrong, so I didn't have to go to the big school bee and stand up on stage, in front of everyone. haha! So I was really amazed, that he didn't do the same.
Jayson was in charge of taking pictures of him, and this is the best he got. (bummer) you can tell how nervous he is though, he is very focused. haha!
(By the way, what is with the dumb headband look, the girl behind him has on? Not a cute trend! )
