Passing the Time

We have been trying to stay entertained, and think of creative things to do, to pass the time.  I have been kinda stuck at home pretty much everyday, (up until this week )So here are a few things we have been up to....

Painting with our newest invention
Shaving Cream!

And it has been a hit at our house!
Especially with Aty
We sometimes use it as a bribe, to get her to take naps

Santa, Elfy(our elf) and Rudolph

I have gone out on a limb and tried to be crafty..
I have made scarfs, and wreaths and reindeer..
This is my ornament wreath Aty and I made!
We drove down to Salt Lake one Friday night, picked Jayson up from work and
went to the temple to see the lights.

Isn't this the cutest hat ever?
We were laughing the whole walk to the temple from our car, because she looked so stinkin cute in it. From behind it looked like we had a panda bear in our stroller. She loves it!
Aty got creative with her attire!
I think she is a reindeer with wings
Daxton had his last basketball game

This was his first year playing. And he loved it!
His coach ended up being his friends dad. (our neighbor) who also became our bishop a couple of weeks ago.

We laughed at him, because whenever he had the ball, he did this little dance. He would hop from side to side, moving the ball back and forth. Too Funny!

Now we are just days away from Christmas. The excitement is high and mom is tired!  I have a few more things to get, and we will be ready!

My Latest Companions

Good Thing we got the Christmas Decorations up!

Because this has been my life, for the past 5 days...

My Three Companions!
Always by my side at every moment.
Heating pad, Ice pack, and Pillow

My other Companions, faithfully sitting by my bedside!
Meds!, Chapstick, Water, peppermint oil(for nausea) and Candycanes(just because I craved them)

So this has been my view and my resting spot.
And I am Getting VERY BORED!
I found out a few weeks ago. Why I have been having chronic pain in my right side and back for A Really Long Time! I had a cyst! So.. My Doctor suggested I have surgery to get it removed. We originally had it scheduled the day beforeThanksgiving. But Jayson could not get the day off of work. Being the new guy and all. So we had to reschedule for Dec 1st. I have been Very Nervous, waiting for the day to arrive. Mostly I have been scared, to be put to sleep. I do not like, not knowing, what is going on. So the Big day arrived! It just so happened that we had a huge windstorm going on at the time. Winds 103 miles per hour! So I heard! While I was in the hospital, all of my neighbors houses and fences were being torn apart. School even got cancelled because the power went out. Thank Heavens, my mom was here to watch all the kids! I was praying that the power wouldn't go out during my surgery! YIKES!! After sitting and waiting, and signing forms for what seemed like, FOREVER! They finally wheeled me away to surgery. I was Still Terrified to be put to sleep. They told me right before, that they would be putting a breathing tube in, as well. WHAT?? Well now I was REALLY SCARED! Before I could even get comfy on the operating table, I was OUT! Next thing I knew a man was asking if I was ok. And I was laying in recovery. In SO MUCH PAIN! They wheeled me into my room and got Jayson. He fed me water and ice chips. Which I Could Not Get Enough Of! I was So Thirsty, after fasting for hours.
The Doctor came in and told us they took care of the cyst and they found I had endometriosis. So they cleared that out as well. The nurse gave us instructions. No using stomach muscles, no lifting over 10 lbs, no laundry, no bending, etc... And sent us home. Lucky Jayson took work off for a couple of days. I was in bed and in pain, helpless! He even had to take me to the bathroom! He was so tired of me calling him from upstairs to take me pee! But Hey I couldn't get up on my own! So anyway, here I am now 5 days later. Improving each day. But very sore and extremely tired.  Today was my first day on my own. Dax had a dermotologist appt today, that I had to take him to. That was a little exhausting! Aty has a cold, so she is tired and whiney, and wants me to hold her. Which I can't! But we made it through the day. And I am hoping tommorow will be better.
And hopefully when this recovery is over, I will no longer have PAIN!

Daxton's Special Day!

The Announcement

Daxton Got Baptized!

Pictures with the Family, before we head to the church!

Grandpa and Grandma

Dax has been looking So forward, to this day!
When he had his interview with our Bishop, he told him he couldn't wait to receive the Holy Ghost.
He patiently waited, a whole month longer even! Just so his grandparents and cousins, would be able to come.

Since we had to change the date. He was the only one, getting baptized that day. So we were in charge of the whole program. A little stressful for me! But it all came together nicely. It was a very nice day! My oldest nephew Tyler, gave the talk about the Holy Ghost, and our home teacher, gave the talk about Baptism. Dax, Treg and his cousins, sang a song. "Today I will Be Baptized"  We have been practicing this at our house for days!
We had a small crowd. But Dax was just happy to finally have his Big Day, finally arrive!

One of Jayson's sisters got lost on her way here, and she did not make it until right before the confirmation. We had to stall for a little while, so she had time to get there. But we were glad she made it!

After the baptism, everyone came back to our house to eat. Dax and his Uncle Robert, wrestled all over the living room. Which Dax obviously Loved!

Here he is, looking all Handsome in his Suit!
He is now, an Official member of the church!

Aty was very restless through the whole baptism, she kept telling me she needed a snack. So the second we got into the house, she broke open the cheetos. She wouldn't even come and get in the pictures, until she had eaten a few.

Dax with Aunt Ashley and Uncle Robert
(his wrestling partner)
Because of all the excitement of wrestling, and getting the food ready. Dax changed his clothes without me knowing. So I made him put his suit jacket on for this picture.

He was So excited, to finally get his Very Own Scriptures!
The whole morning he kept asking me, Where his CTR ring was too.
Finally, after almost everyone had left, he got to open his present.
He got Scriptures, a ring and a CTR dog tag.
He loved them all!
He couldn't wait, to take his scriptures to church with him the next day.

We are So proud of him! He has always had such a sweet Spirit about him. Always wanting to do what is right. He is such a good example to our family. He is so easy going and easy to love! He makes friends so easily. He sometimes complains that everyone in his class, wants to be his friend. Which I know, he secretly Loves! He is so well mannered and such a good Listener and helper, at home. He does Love, to torment Aty though. Which drives us a little crazy at times! But that being his only fault. I would say he is a pretty good boy!
At sacrament the next day. It was Testimony meeting. I turned to him and said "K Dax it is your turn now" He looked at me with panic in his eyes. He thought he really was supposed to go next. He kept asking me, and I finally told him."yes if you want to, I think that would be great! It would be a good example to set, since you were just baptized." He sat and stewed about for a while, and finally about 10 minutes before it ended. He turned to me and said. "mom will you go with me?" Well, what was I supposed to do? This was  So, out of my comfort zone. I think the last time I stood and did this, was when Tregan was born.  But, I wasn't going to be the reason, Dax didn't stand and do it. So... Reluctantly, Dax and I, walked up together. He wanted me to go first. He did great! He got a little nervous, and didn't know what to say. But he did a good job. I was So Proud of him!
I still can't believe that he is old enough to be baptized. But I guess I have to accept it.

For the weeks leading up to his baptism, I mentioned above, that we were practicing the song they were going to sing with their cousins. The words often played in my head, in preparation for the big day. I even sat with him, and explained what they meant. This is one of my favorite songs! I think it explains the promise he made, so well. It makes me want to cry, when I say the words.  To think about how important this baptism day, is for all of us, as children of God. To make this promise to Heavenly Father, and to follow in Jesus's footsteps, and to take on the resposiblility of having the Holy Ghost, help guide us. It is So Special! I am So Thankful, that both my boys have been able to take this special plunge. And I love and adore them both, very much. And I am so proud of them! Oh and I have to say also, What a great job Jayson did. He was So Nervous!( Because this was So out of his comfort zone as well) But he did a great job, and said some great things, in his confirmation as well.

Here are the words:
Today I make a choice to follow Jesus
To always try to live my life for him
Today I promise willingly, to love and serve him faithfully
Today I take upon me his dear name.

And soon I will recieve a gift from Father
The Holy Ghost to help me choose the right
As hands are placed upon my head
And sacred priesthood words are said
That I might have the spirits guiding light

Today theres wonder in my eyes
Today I will be baptized!

Such a great day! Love you Dax!
