Tregy Turns 10!

My Sweet Little Treg, Turned 10 Years Old this Weekend. I still can't believe he is already 10. It makes me very sad.  When I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday, he said he wanted to have friends over to play X-Box. I had told him that he was to old for Birthday parties now, but I decided that it would be ok of he just invited a few friends over to play video games. That didn't sound like much work for me. But then he says " and I want a cake that looks like an X-Box" And well, those of you who know me, know that I love a cake challenge. Well, I do until I am in the middle of creating it, and then I wonder why I don't just buy cakes every year for my kids B-days. But it always turns out fine in the end.  Jayson however, does not have the same feelings as I, about the experience. haha! He told me that he is sick of me making cakes and all the stress it causes. Oh well!

Only a couple of the friends Tregan invited were able to make it to the party. But that was OK with him. They had a lot of fun playing video games and eating snacks

Eating the controller, Yummy!

Here is the finished project. It turned out pretty good. The controller was easy to make. It is made out of rice crispies. The cake was a little bit of a pain. I normally would have frozen the cake before hand, then it would have been alot easier to cut and mold, but I had to make a new cake the night before because the first one crumbled. So I was up until 12:30 the night before making cakes and decorating paddles. And then I got up the next morning and finished the cake. Oh and I should mention that Aty was sick both those days with a fever, so I was taking care of a crying, sick baby, as well. Thank Goodness her daddy was here to help out with her!   It is a little thicker then the real X-Box, because again, I couldn't trim it much or it would crumble. But it turned out pretty good.  This was my first attempt with Fondant, I got a recipe from my neighbor Dana. It was way easy to make, and really easy to work with.
The boys loved it! Especially Daxton. He told me that he and his friend Logan, had to keep coming and looking at it, because it was "So Cool!"

We had his party on Saturday, But his real Birthday was on Sunday. So after church, we did presents. And Cinderella made a surprise guest appearance.

She was being so cute and such a poser. I took a ton of pictures of them, their were just too many cute ones, so sorry for all the pictures.

Now off to shoot some birds!

Well, trying to shoot some birds. But he just didn't have the heart to hurt those poor Tweeties! (makes me smile)

Dax was dying to have a turn. Notice Tregan holding onto Aty for dear life! We found out that Dax is definitely Not old enough for a gun yet. haha!
So, it turned out to be a fun Weekend. He was happy! And Well, I think his dad was a little happy for a BB gun as well.

Happy Birthday Treg!
Every year when my kids have a birthday, I write a few things about them, the number of how old they are. So here is goes...

#1 He is very tender hearted and Adores his sister, although he never crys, he wears his feelings on his sleeve.
#2 He is an awesome basketball player
#3 He is super smart in school, and he reads way above his level
#4 He loves, loves, to play video games. That is all he would do all day, every day, if I would let him.
#5 He says when he grows up he wants to be the guy who invents video games
#6 He loves to watch movies with his family
#7 He pretends to not like kisses and loves, but secretly he does
#8 He hardly ever takes his shoes off. He does not like to be without his shoes. (he gets that from his dad)
#9 He is kinda shy, and quiet around other kids
#10 He really wants a bulldog!
