The lake
We have spent the past two weekends enjoying the beautiful outdoors, hiking, playing in the lake and just soaking it all in.
Two weekends ago, we took the kids up to Tony's Grove and hiked on the trail up to whitepine lake. Well, we only made it about halfway. Ya know, three kids, one on our back, and a mom and dad recovering from a month long cough and cold. ( couldn't breath too well) But, it was very fun, and so pretty. Tony's is one of my favorite spots.

Aty did not want to ride in her new turtle floatie, so Tregan decided to take it out on the lake. He looked so funny sitting in it!
This past weekend my sister invited us up to Bear Lake to stay with her family. We went to the lake and hiked up to Bloomington Lake, and went to the R O D E O! I really don't understand what is so fun about riding a bull and being thrown off, and then stomped on. Or even riding a wild horse bareback, and being thrown off and crushed by the horse. But the mutton busting sure is fun to watch. Those cute little kids holding on to the sheep for their dear lifes. The boys even got to be a part of it all. They chased a calf with about 100 other kids and tried to get a ribbon off of it's neck. Daxton had to do it barefoot, because he dropped one of his shoes through the bleachers. So I told him it would be better to just wear no shoes, then one shoe. But when he stepped out in the poopy dirt, Well.. I was rethinking that advice. Sorry Dax! Oh well, he didn't seem to care. So on our way up to Bloomington lake, we got stopped about 4 miles from the parking lot, because they needed room for an ambulance to get down. Apparently a van full of boyscouts had rolled off the hill. Only one boy got hurt, and he was not too serious, the rest just had scratches. It was very scary to see the van upside down in the lake, knowing it could have been so much worse. It sure made me nervous to send Tregan on any far away scout trips. We ended up getting stopped on the way back down because the tow truck was there getting the van. So we had to make it a pretty quick hike, so we could make it back to the rodeo. Bummer! But the kids had tons of fun. It was so pretty up there.
