We took the kids to St George this last weekend. My sister let us stay in her condo there. We has lots of fun, just soaking up the sun, swimming in the pool, and hiking Zions Canyon. (just to warn you, I have attached a ton of pictures)
This picture melts my heart!
This is what we found when we took off Aty's shoes after hiking for hours. Poor Baby! It was from her getting her feet wet in the water, and keeping her shoes on for so long.
These pictures are a little out of order, but I got sick of dragging them around, So sorry!
So we got done hiking the emerald pools, and Dax was exhausted. Tregan had wanted to see the weeping rock the whole time. So we rode the shuttle up to the drop off spot. Which by the way was a nightmare with Aty. Long bus ride, lots of hiking, and hot sun, not a good combination with Aty. Anyway, so we get off the bus, and Dax is begging us not to make him hike anymore. I bribe him by saying, "it is only 1/2 mile up and it is so cool." He finally agreed. So up we went. It was all uphill, but we made it, and the boys thought it was so awesome. Aty got out of her pack, and was having a blast as well. They loved standing under the drips and cooling off.
The Upper Emerald Pools ( We made it!)
Almost at the top!
The cliffs and mountains were all so awesome, I tried to take as many pictures of them as I could, but you still can't see how pretty they really were in real life. It was so beautiful up there.
This is how we all felt by the time we were almost to the upper pools. And had climbed a ton of stairs and over a million rocks. The boys had to take turns carrying the backpack. And they were real troopers. They hardly even complained.
Aty was even pretty patient, except for this moment. We had put her back in the pack after middle pools, and she was not too happy. On the way back down though, she was singing Wild Wild West. (elmo) so she was happy!
Middle Pools
The pools and running water at the middle pools. The kids loved playing in the water. Tregan slipped and fell on the slippery rock. But he laughed it off, so it was all good.
A cool little spot hidden in the trees on the way up

Lower Emerald Pools
(like I said, the pictures are a little out of order, but you get the idea)

The long ride home
Poor Dax was buried in the back seat, he couldn't even move. We were packed tight. He looks really happy! We need a bigger car! Oh well, Memories, Right?
I am sad to say, that this was the end of our Summer ventures. And school is about to start.
Where has the time gone? I love having my kids home, and the freedom to just run and go fun places. I am not, looking forward to my boys being gone all day.

jealous here! Looks like you had so much fun! I'm kinda sad school is starting too. It also means they're just getting that much older :(
