Cave

While we were vacationing up in Cache Valley. The day we went to Bear Lake. We decided to take our kids to Minnetonka Cave. We took the boys when they were pretty little. So Jayson wanted to take them now that they are bigger.

It is like 30 degrees inside the cave, so we brought our jackets.

Stalagmites

This is my favorite spot in the cave
It is a huge group of stalagmites and stalactites.  They look like people.
When we went through a fews years ago and the boys were little, We told Dax
they were star wars guys.
They have named a few of them. Some are named after the 7 dwarfs.

Popcorn

I can't remember what they called this. It was like drips
I guess little tiny stalactites forming

The Stairway to Heaven
So then going down, is considered the stairway to ? Yep you guessed it.

This is supposed to be where the devil lives
Down in this deep dark hole, there is a red light!

They call this "Bacon"
When they shine the flashlight on it, it really does look like it.

Kermit The Frog

When you get to the end of the cave, they show you what looks like a bride and groom. They showed us something that looked like a wedding ring on the way there too.
Then they turn out all the lights. It is PITCH DARK! You cannot see anything. (In fact, Tregan remembered this part from before, so he was anticipating it the whole time. At one point, he thought it was time and he grabbed onto Jayson. )

So they turn out the lights and then they ask for whoever has a diamond ring on to come over. They shine a red light on it. If they diamond is real, then it glows and reflects what looks like a disco ball on the ceiling of the cave.  Good news! Mine is real!

 We found these cute little critters along the path
Aty was loving watching them. They were so cute to watch, eating the sunflower seeds.
They would bite off and throw away the shell, just like a person

fun and excitement.

Apparently they played a little too hard and slept a little less!
