| Here are his Before Pictures Can't wait to get it done! |
He was bored waiting around at the surgical center, waiting for his turn. It was alot of waiting. At one point, he and I were playing football with his little stuffed animal they gave him. They finally came and took him back. Jayson and I waited...
20 minutes later, the doctor came and told us he was done. He had done great! He was in recovery for a little bit, then we could go see him. I was so relieved! So no sooner had we sat back down in the waiting room, then I hear a loud, terrified sounding scream! I immediately knew it was Daxton. My mommy protective mode kicked in. I went and opened the door to the recovery room debating whether I dare run back and find him. Or whether that would make me a" CRAZY MOM." I knew it probably wouldn't be great of me to start pulling peoples curtains back frantically looking for Dax. I went back to Jayson with tears running down my cheeks. So worried. He told me he would be ok, they will give him something to calm him down. That did not comfort me much. I sat on the edge of my chair for the next, what seemed like half hour. but was probably only like 15 minutes. trying not to freak out. The nurse finally came and got us. When we go to him, he was crying. They said he wanted to see me. Poor buddy! Talk about rip my heart out.
They told us that he had came out of surgery and his airway was blocked, so they proceeded to give him a breathing treatment. But he woke up in the middle of it and was disoriented, so he freaked out and tried to get out of bed and push them away. They had to hold him down and give him some meds to calm down. (so sad) I was very sad and upset about all that. He even had marks on his arm from where they had been squeezing his arm. I'm getting all sad again just writing about it. I know they were just doing their job, but still. They hurt him. And he was so scared!
It took him a few minutes of us being with him and comforting him until he finally calmed down and fell asleep.
| After he woke up ! Eating a popsicle Pretty sad still. He told me "I didn't know it was going to hurt this bad" |
| Half hour later, watching a movie on Jayson's phone. Feeling much better now

In fact, I swear he ate more during his recovery, then he normall does. He was constantly asking for food. I don't know if it was because he was eating stuff that wasn't as filling, or what. But he had a hearty appetite for sure! He was ready to play by the 5th day. He wanted to be running around and playing football. But I had to keep wraps on him. He was all the way better, by the next Saturday. And ready for school. His doctor was amazed how well he did and how fast he recovered. That's our little Dax, Our Tough Little Boy!
Now, no more stinky breath and no more snoring! Hurray!
