Girl's Weekend

This last Weekend, A few of my neighbor friends and I, went on a Girl's Weekend to St George. I approached them back in May, about going to St George, staying in my sisters condo, and going to see a show at Tuacahn. We arranged a date, planned it out, bought our tickets, and waited....
Summer flew by, and the big day arrived! Yay!!!  I was So Excited to go. For many reasons. But the biggest reason being.. That we were going to see GREASE! My all time, Favorite show!

We got the kids home from school Friday afternoon, packed up the car, I dropped Aty off at my friend Melissa's house.  Her husband offered to watch her until Jayson got home.  Thanks Morgan! And we headed out, on our Kid Free vacation!

The Show!

We had SO MUCH FUN! The show was amazing! Melissa and I, were singing and trying to dance in our seats. But then Dana told us an older lady in front of us, was giving us dirty looks. So then we had to be a little more discreet about it. (How can you not dance, to Grease?)  This was our first broadway show. Give us a break!  Notice Allison and Heidi are missing. They stayed back at the condo.
We missed them, and wished they could have came, and joined in on our silly fun.

Funny story behind this picture:
So my sister had told me this Summer, how the guy who played the friend of Danny, was the lead in Tarzan, and he was really cute and had big muscles.  Even my 14 year old niece agreed. So I was curious to see who this guy was. Well, as soon as the Thunderbirds all entered the stage. I knew right away, who they were talking about. HAHA! His arms are huge! Melissa and I, watched him most of the show!  He was a really good actor too.   Then as we were leaving, we notice that they have all the leads of the play out, to take pictures and have autographs. So I immediately get all excited, and make Melissa and Dana go get a picture with him. They didn't oppose!  We were laughing and having such a good time. We were like giddy school girls. It was So much Fun!

We had to pull of the road and run to get over there.
I was wearing my new shoes that had a wedge heel, so I was running across the grass and tripping and twisting my ankle. I finally had to take my shoes off. Then right before this picture, I almost fell in the water behind us.
(Yes I am very uncoordinated! )
After the show, we decided we need to make this a yearly Tradition. It was an amazing experience. The whole atmosphere is amazing as well!

Here we are at Chili's before the show!
We got to go to dinner both nights. ( notice no kids!) AHH so relaxing! Although we were kind of panicking because we were running late for the show on this night. Good thing Allison has awesome driving skills and got us there safely, with five minutes to spare!

The rest of the time, we spent doing lots and lots of shopping. Which by the way, I loved! I never go shopping with friends. I honestly ,cannot think of the last time I got to do this. It was nice, having everyone to give you their opinion. And we talked and laughed, all day and night! Until like 2 a.m. It is amazing how much you can find to talk about, with five girls together.

Sunday morning, we slept in and chatted for a while, then it was time to pack up and do a little cleaning, before we left.
Allison took this picture of me mopping. So sexy I know!

We made a stop at the St George Temple before we left. It is so Beautiful! I took this picture right before a huge dowpour of rain started. I was a little scared I admit. Because it was lightning, and this temple has been hit twice, by lightning. Yikes!

We even got a special showing of the Joseph Smith movie. So nice of them!

We waited for the rain to slow down and headed home. Luckily none of our husbands were too upset that we were a little behind schedule!  Mine sure wasn't anyway! I think my family kinda forgot I was gone. haha! No, my boys did admit the next day, that they missed me. And of course, Aty missed me!

So Much Fun! I am so glad I got to do this. I was telling my friends, how this was the first time I have gone somewhere, with someone other then Jayson, and left my kids since Tregan was 2! So it was due time, for a vacation for me! The boys played lots of video games, and Aty painted pictures. So, we were all happy!
I can't wait for next year!
