The Party!

She wanted a Snow White Party. I was nervous about making the cake. Not knowing how I was going to make the top part of her dress. And, I had no idea what we would do at the party. I was looking online to try and find ideas, or other types of cakes, to change her mind about Snow White.
I stumbled upon a lady's blog, she plans parties and posts about them. It just so happens, she had just done, a Snow White party for her daughter. YAHOO! I stole her ideas, and set out to plan a party.

The Cake!

I had decided I was going to take a break from fondant this year. And just use frosting. I used frosting on Daxton's cake, the week before. It did not turn out nearly as coo,l as it could have been.
So.. I decided I HAD to use fondant on Aty's cake

The hardest part was cooking the cake in the glass bowl I borrowed from my neighbor. Trying to figure out how long to cook it. Luckily I had decided to do a practice cake on her actual birthday. Good thing, because when we cut it, the middle was gooey! So, I knew I had to cook this one longer and on lower heat.
When I pushed Snow White into the cake, it cracked on one side, so I had to do some repairs.
But it was all covered up. The fondant worked pretty well, it ripped a litte in some spots, but I just improvised and covered it up with flowers. So it had a few more flowers on the back the I had originally planned. But it was ok. I made it all the night before, so after it had sat all night, her dress had started to rip in one spot, and she was leaning a little to the right. Luckily, I had taken pictures while it still looked ok, the night before.

The Party!
The Seven Dwarfs

Doc, Sneezy, Sleepy

Bashful, Happy, Grumpy
I made them out of 2 liter bottles, I was worried they wouldn't turn out very good.
But I was surprised, they were easier then I thought.

Aty had a bit of a meltdown during this.

So then she was crying the whole rest of the game.
